Early arrivals
Registration will be available from 17:00 – 19:00 for those participants who arrive on Sunday 22 August.

An informal welcome reception has been organised in the Staff Social Centre for those participants arriving on Sunday. Places are limited and must be booked in advance of the conference.

Conference registration desk
The registration desk is situated in the Staff Social Centre and will be open during the following times:

Sunday: 17:00 – 19:00
Monday: 08:30 – 18:30
Tuesday: 08:30 – 18:30
Wednesday: 08:30 – 18:30
Thursday: 08:30 – 13:00

All participants will be given a registration pack containing conference material, a conference badge and tickets for social events. There will be no tickets for refreshments and lunches; instead participants should wear their badge.

Please note that participants must wear the conference badge at all times during the conference.

Access to sessions
Registered Photon10 participants (full attendees or one-day attendees) have access to all conference sessions, including the ITP sessions. A conference badge will be handed out to participants with their conference material when they register.

Participants that have registered for the Industry Technology Programme only (see the daily ITP fee listed on the Registration Form), will be given a different badge upon registering. This registration does NOT include attendance for any of the main conference sessions or social activities.

The organisers strongly recommend that all participants check their confirmation letters to ensure their booking is correct. Please note that it will not be possible to amend your bookings onsite.

Lecture theatres
All sessions will take place in the Nuffield Building, and adjoining Arts Centre. Participants should check the programme for exact room locations.

Poster sessions
All poster sessions (Tuesday-Wednesday) will be located in the Staff Social Centre which is located next to the Nuffield building. Please see the programme for exact timings. Beer and soft drinks will be served with the poster sessions.

Presenters giving a poster should read the “Instructions for Presenters” section carefully.

Messages
A message board will be placed in the proximity of the conference registration desk. Participants should check regularly for messages, as an attempt to locate participants will be only made in case of extreme emergency.

Campus Facilities
Participants have use of a range of facilities on campus:
- Student Union shop (open Monday – Friday 09:00 – 16:00) selling a range of goods including newspapers, confectionery, stationery, cards, gifts etc.
- In addition to this residential participants may use the Jubilee Sport Centre, with access to the swimming pool, fitness suite and fitness classes.

Pay phones
Pay phones are located to the side of the Nuffield Theatre (near the grass area) and outside of the Arts Building.

ATM Machines
There is one ATM by the Student Union Shop near to the Staff Social Centre and several banks with ATM machines along the main road by the University.

Bars
The Arlott Bar in the Staff Social Centre is open Monday – Thursday until 6pm. There are a number of pubs located around the University Campus. The Crown Inn and The Highfield are popular and open until 11pm.

Restaurants
Restaurants are located in the city centre, which can be reached by Uni-Link bus or local taxi (approx. 10 minutes travel time). A Southampton City map is available at the conference registration desk.

Internet access
Provided personal laptops are WiFi enabled, and University log-ins are provided this facility may be accessed anywhere within Garden Court or in the lounge areas in the Staff Social Centre.

Residential participants
Every guest room is equipped with an ethernet data port allowing participants to connect their laptop computer and benefit from, high-speed, internet access. Participants need to supply their own RJ-45 cable to access the network.

Accommodation
Onsite accommodation is available in the Southampton University Glen Eyre Halls of Residence.

Arrivals and departures
Please check in to your accommodation from 15:00. Keys will be available from the reception at Glen Eyre.

Participants are asked to vacate their room and return their key to reception by 09:30 on their day of departure. Luggage may be left in the Nuffield Building or John Roberts Room (Staff Social Centre)

Current bus timetables will be available at the main reception desk.

In case of emergency please dial 9999 from your bedroom
The venue requests guests read the fire evacuation notice displayed in all meeting areas and bedrooms so they become familiar with procedure and recommended route of escape.
